Last week, I bought $200 worth of groceries and only paid $50. How? Coupons.

There are many excuses people use in order to avoid using coupons. Some of the most common ones include, “It takes too much time,” or “I don’t see the value in it.” But in our recent economy, more and more people are taking the time to print or clip coupons while watching their savings grow.

Learning to use coupons is definitely a process. It takes time to figure out how the systems work. Here are a few tips to help, which I call the “5 W’s of Couponing.”

* Who accepts coupons? Stores print their own coupons that are good only in their store. Companies print Manufacturer coupons that can be redeemed in any store. The best savings occur when a manufacturer coupon is combined with a store coupon.

* What are coupons? Free money! Store coupons are the responsibility of the store, but stores get reimbursed the amount of each Manufacturer coupon. Companies essentially use coupons to convince us to buy and try their products.

* When are coupons available? Sunday newspapers usually have ads from companies like Red Plum, Smart Source and Proctor and Gamble. These appear with other store ads. More store coupons can be found in weekly store ads. Manufacturer coupons can also be found online.

* Where can I find them? Store and Manufacturer coupons in the form of Internet printables are becoming more and more common. Simply do an internet search of the companies above and you will find coupons.

* Why am I doing this again? You’ll save a lot of money. Try it…you’ll see.

The easiest way to become a couponer is to start small. When I first started using coupons, I decided that I no longer wanted to pay for cereal, so I started using coupons for cereal only. And guess what? I don’t pay for cereal.

Another way to get started is by using store ads, buying necessities on sale or with store coupons. Sometimes these store coupons can be combined with manufacturer coupons for even more savings.

Start clipping, and watch your savings grow!

If you’ve ever read reviews of Beachbody’s workout program Turbo Jam, it seems pretty obvious that there is a conspiracy. After all, how is it possible for so many people to completely rave about a product designed to make them uncomfortable? Exercise isn’t the most pleasant thing in the world. If it were, more people would be doing it. Yet all those Turbo Jam reviews act like this workout program is the best thing since sliced bread. So is it all lies? Is Beachbody using fake reviews to promote a bad product? Can people really love it that much?

Turbo Jam makes some pretty outrageous claims. The infomercial works hard to convince you that you will burn up to 1000 calories an hour with the workout program. On top of that, in conjunction with its Turbo Slim eating program, it claims that you can lose up to 10 pounds or 10 inches in 10 days! Those are some pretty impressive numbers if they are true. So what is the truth? People with a lot of weight to lose who work out a very high intensity may actually be able to burn 1000 calories and hour. The average person who works at a high intensity will probably only burn about 400-600 calories per hour doing Turbo Jam. That number is nothing to scoff at, but it’s not 1000 calories so some may be disappointed. Many who do the Turbo Slim eating program do lose a lot of inches from their entire body. The ten pounds are in the same category as the 1000 calories per hour. It’s unlikely to happen unless you have a lot of weight to lose.

So what about all of those great reviews for Turbo Jam? If people aren’t burning 1000 calories per hour or losing 10 pounds every 10 days, how can they love this workout program so much? Well, the great thing about it is that it is fun. In the beginning of the program, it is much more likely that you’ll lose inches than pounds. Yet people stick with the program and the pounds eventually begin to fall off. The point is that this workout program holds your interest long enough to allow you to see results. There is no sure way to know that the reviews are real or not real, but the visits to message boards reveals that everyday people who use Turbo Jam love it! Fitness discussion boards are full of Turbo Jam addicts who are using it to transform their lives.

The problem with it is that it gets people way too excited. All those reviews sound fake because there doesn’t seem to be a way that anyone can fall in love with a workout program. This is especially true for the people who try the program, but don’t like it. Some feel it’s too much impact for their knees. Some are disappointed that they aren’t losing a pound a day. Some just don’t like all the dancing that is in the workouts. Turbo Jam is not for everyone. But it’s hard to like this workout program without falling in love with everything Turbo Jam. That’s no conspiracy.

The turbo jam maximum results program is an exciting way to workout and lose a good amount of weight. For those who have aleady finished turbo jam, there is the P90X workout routine that will keep anyone on the edge of their workout.
